The application is a supporting product of block road cleaning, which is carried out every year in Brno in spring and autumn. By alerting users to block cleaning, the goal is to reduce the amount of chargeable handling of non-moved vehicles in the cleaned locations and the given deadlines. Cleaning terms and sections are entered into the application by a worker from Brněnské komunikace a.s. according to documents handed over from individual district offices.
Access to block cleaning information is possible in the application with or without registration. Unregistered users will only get a basic overview of ongoing cleaning. A registered user has the option to set up to five sites of interest and be alerted to the upcoming block cleaning, while it is also possible to set a radius of distance of up to 500 m from the site of interest for approaching cleaning. Notifications are performed by push notifications or through an e-mail message in the time interval based on your selection: a week, day, or hour before you start cleaning. The roads are color coded in the graphic part of the application on the map background, depending on whether block cleaning has already taken place, is currently in progress, or is still scheduled.
Block cleaning of roads and the associated deployment of portable vertical road markings in Brno is fully within the competence of the relevant city district office. Brněnské komunikace a.s. ensures the chargeable handling of non-moved vehicles in connection with this activity.
